Job Summary
Conduct initial assessments of labor status, fetal well-being, and neonatal transition while monitoring vital signs and pain levels. Implement comprehensive nursing care plans that address physical, psychosocial, and educational needs through health education for patients and families. Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and discharge readiness. This role requires a minimum of one year in Labor & Delivery and a California RN license. Dignity Health - Sequoia Hospital, a nonprofit acute care facility in Redwood City, serves over 50,000 patients annually and is recognized as a Joint Commission-certified Primary Stroke Center.
Required Qualifications
- 1 Year Minimum in Labor & Delivery
- Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing
- One to two years clinical nursing experience
- Registered Nurse: CA
- Basic Life Support - CPR
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program
