Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery unit, utilizing the nursing process to support women and infants. Prioritize patient wellness, a patient perspective, and evidence-based practice within a multidisciplinary team approach. Model proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff and welcome new knowledge in a fast-paced clinical environment. Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care while adhering to AWHONN and AACN practice standards. Work nights in an onsite role at UCHealth UCHlth Anschutz Inpt Pavilion, Aurora, CO.
Required Qualifications
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Relevant certification as determined at position level
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
- Any relevant life support certification as determined at position level
- 6 months of Women and Infants nursing (RN) experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
- NRP and ACLS 6 months from hire and transfer
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
