Job Summary
RN - Labor & Birth (Nights) at Mercy OKC is a full-time night-shift nursing position in a high-paced obstetrics unit focused on Labor & Birth, Antepartum, and Well Newborn care with potential float to related departments. Responsibilities include delivering care across obstetric and newborn services, maintaining competencies in Labor & Birth, Antepartum, and OB Emergency Department, and collaborating with Lactation Consultants. Requires graduation from an accredited RN program, current RN license (state and/or compact), BLS certification (or within 30 days of hire), ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and the ability to stand/walk for shifts. Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Licensure: Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or ability to complete within 30 days of hire
- Physical requirements: Push/pull/lift 50 pounds; prolonged standing and walking; ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat
- Roles/unit knowledge: obstetrics and mother-baby care; float between Labor & Birth, Antepartum, OB Emergency Department as needed
