Job Summary
Provide patient care in the Labor and Delivery unit, including 30 labor beds, 9 OB ED beds, and 4 operating rooms, with approximately 550-600 monthly births starting from 22-23 weeks gestation. Coordinate patient care delivery daily in collaboration with the MFM team, midwifery, OB, and family medicine, while ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory standards. Conduct rounds to evaluate patient care and family satisfaction, intervene as needed, and advocate for patients regarding ethical or legal issues. Monitor staff turnover rates, coach nursing staff to maintain clinical skills, and develop unit-based quality improvement programs. Work night shifts at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA, with a hiring bonus available for eligible external candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
- National Provider NRP - American Academy of Pediatric upon hire
- 1 year Nursing experience
