Job Summary
Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in Labor and Delivery, conducting thorough assessments, administering medications, and monitoring fetal well-being using electronic fetal monitoring. Assist physicians during procedures, manage labor and delivery, induce labor, and provide pain relief while responding to medical emergencies and participating in code team activities. Monitor mothers and newborns post-delivery, assess recovery, and educate patients and families on medical conditions, treatment plans, and postpartum or newborn care. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans, implement infection control protocols, and document findings accurately in the medical record. This role requires 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience and state RN licensure. Woodland Heights Medical Center is a 149-bed Joint Commission accredited facility in East Texas offering inpatient and outpatient services.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation
