Job Summary
Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients in Labor and Delivery, supervising assigned nursing staff and coordinating care with other disciplines. Collects relevant health data, analyzes assessment findings to determine diagnosis and care issues, and develops plans prescribing interventions to attain outcomes. Implements care delivery strategies, delegates duties to team members, and participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers in a safe, healing environment while providing learning opportunities and direct health information. Requires RN licensure, BLS certification, and a BSN preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Acute care facility experience
