Job Summary

Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for diverse patient, family, and group needs. Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources as a leader on the interdisciplinary team. Use the nursing process to effectively deliver patient care while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Adapt communication styles to specific patient populations and maintain involvement in unit and department strategic goals. Perform other related duties as assigned, including managing human and fiscal resources.

Required Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to lift 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally
Ability to lift 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently
Ability to lift 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly
Ability to walk or stand to a significant degree
Ability to push and/or pull of arm or leg controls
Ability to work at a production rate pace
Ability to work in an area where patients enter
Ability to work directly with patients
Ability to work with specimens that could contain communicable diseases
Knowledge of current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility
