Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in Labor and Delivery using the nursing process while incorporating patient-family centered principles. Partner with patients and families to develop teaching strategies, document education in health records, and discharge patients according to Corewell Health policies. Provide quality nursing care under the direction of the Nurse Leader, utilizing the ANA scope of practice to ensure positive patient outcomes through effective partnerships.
Required Qualifications
- Associates in Nursing
- Bachelors in Nursing within 5 years
- Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role
- Must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination
- MI Registered Nurse (RN)
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - AHA American Heart Association within 90 days
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification (C-EFM) - NCC National Certification Corporation Birthplace within 1 1/2 years
Desired Qualifications
- AHA Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Labor and Delivery within 2 year
