Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in Labor and Delivery, Birth Center, and NICU units using the nursing process and evidence-based practice. Prioritize patient wellness and safety while modeling proficiency by precepting new nurses and supporting individualized specialty education. Maintain state licensure, six months of Women and Infants nursing experience, and current NRP and BLS certifications. Work full-time nights (72 hours per pay period) at UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central in Colorado Springs. Earn base pay plus night shift differential and night shift incentive pay upon orientation completion.
Required Qualifications
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 6 months of Women and Infants nursing (RN) experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
- NRP within 6 months of hire
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
- Relevant certification as determined at position level
- This position is an onsite role
