Job Summary
RN L&D Float Team RN position assignments across units within the WEST Float Team; responsibilities include providing ante-, intra-, and post-partum patient care, administering medications, maintaining sterile technique, patient and family education, and mentoring other nurses. Requires adaptability to float across units, ongoing competency assessments, and up-to-date BLS/NRP/ACLS certifications; BSN preferred or diploma with RN licensure, 2+ years of direct patient care experience, and strong communication and teamwork skills.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma from an accredited nursing program or a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- RN (Single State or Multi-state Compact) required
- BLS certification required
- NRP certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Basic computer skills and ability to leverage technology in clinical care
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills
- Ability to thrive in a challenging environment and respond to emergencies effectively
- Excellent time management and critical thinking skills
