Job Summary
RN in Obstetrics/Labor and Delivery (L&D) providing patient-centered care throughout the nursing process. Responsibilities include coordinating and delivering high-quality care, conducting assessments, administering medications, supporting during labor and delivery (including epidurals and pain management), monitoring fetal well-being, educating patients and families, adhering to infection control and safety standards, and participating in performance improvement initiatives. Role spans prenatal screenings, labor support, postpartum care, newborn assessment, breastfeeding education, and related gynecologic education; requires collaboration with interdisciplinary team and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support required
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation preferred
