Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery Birth Center, utilizing the nursing process to support women and infants. Prioritize evidence-based practice and a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes. Model proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff and welcome new knowledge in this fast-paced clinical environment. Maintain NRP certification within three months of hire and ensure BLS or CPR certification is current through sixty days of hire. Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care while supporting the Mother/Baby, Women's Care, and NICU units.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 6 months of Women and Infants nursing (RN) experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
- NRP within 3 months of hire
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
