Job Summary
Provide direct patient care in the Inpatient Medical/Surgical unit using the nursing process while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. Manage care coordination, patient safety, and documentation for adults with conditions including small bowel obstructions, respiratory infections, cellulitis, diverticulitis, and pneumonia. Deliver compassionate care aligned with Mercy's mission and values. This full-time role involves 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) with self-scheduling available. Candidates must hold an active Missouri RN license, BLS certification, and graduate from an accredited nursing program.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or compact state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (or within 30 days of hire)
- Ability to lift and assist up to 50 pounds
- Prolonged standing and walking
- Ability to bend, reach, kneel, squat, and assist patients safely
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Prior hospital or acute‐care nursing experience
- Specialty certifications
