Job Summary
Provide direct patient care for adults with conditions such as small bowel obstructions, respiratory infections, and pneumonia while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. Manage care coordination, patient safety, and documentation aligned with Mercy's mission. Perform frequent assessments and deliver compassionate care in a unit offering diverse patient needs and dynamic care coordination. Requires an active RN license, BLS certification, and ability to lift 50 pounds. Full-time 36-hour week with night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or compact state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (or within 30 days of hire)
- Ability to lift and assist up to 50 pounds
- Prolonged standing and walking
- Ability to bend, reach, kneel, squat, and assist patients safely
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Prior hospital or acute‐care nursing experience
- Specialty certifications
