Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in Perioperative, PACU, or Operating Room settings using the nursing process and evidence-based practice. Prioritize patient wellness, safety, and quality while modeling proficiency through precepting new healthcare staff. Contribute to secure outcomes within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced clinical environment. Requires state RN licensure, BLS certification, and 6 months of RN experience or UCHealth Fellowship completion. Full-time onsite days shift at UCHealth UCHlth Memorial Hospital North in Colorado Springs.
Required Qualifications
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
- Any relevant life support certification as determined at position level
- 6 months of RN experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing)
- AORN and ABPANC core curriculum and certifications standards
- Direct care includes practice in Perioperative, PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) or Operating Room levels of care
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire (If on PICC team they just need BLS all others need ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire)
- Relevant licensure/certification as determined at position level
