Job Summary
Conduct top-of-scope direct patient care in Perioperative, PACU, or Operating Room levels utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based practice. Deliver multidisciplinary care while prioritizing patient wellness and safety standards including AORN and ABPANC core curriculum. Model proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff and guide individualized specialty education for competency validation. Maintain required certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and PALS within six months of hire. Required Qualifications
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
- Any relevant life support certification as determined at position level
- 6 months of RN experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
- ACLS certification (for those not on PICC team)
- PALS certification (for those not on PICC team)
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
