RN - Interventional Radiology - Full Time

Job Summary
Conduct pre, intra, and post procedure care for patients across Interventional Radiology, CT, MRI, X-Ray, Nuclear Medicine, and Ultrasound modalities, rotating daily. Assist with complex invasive neuro and peripheral interventions, including cerebral aneurysm coils and stroke procedures, while administering conscious sedation and monitoring sedated patients. Perform IV placement, port access, specimen handling, and collaborate with admitting nurses on home health and inpatient admissions. Maintain on-call availability per department policy and attend in-services to stay current on best practices and new technology.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in the state of Florida
- American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Provider
- American Heart Association ACLS
- NIHSS Stroke Scale
- Strong experience with IV placement
- Critical care experience (i.e., ICU, ED, PCU, Interventional/Cath Lab, Endoscopy, OR/PACU)
- Ability to push/pull up to 40lbs
- Ability to carry and lift up to 50lbs
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be able to make sound decisions
- Must be detail oriented
- Must be alert
- Must be self-motivated
- Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements
- In-service requirements
- Health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation
- TB/PPD Surveillance Program
- Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s)
- Ability to perform all essential functions of this position
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- BSN
- Experience in ICU, ED, PCU, Interventional/Cath Lab, Endoscopy, OR/PACU
