Job Summary

Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients in the Interventional Radiology department while maintaining professional accountability. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly while enduring prolonged standing and walking each shift. Requires ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat. BLS certification required; ACLS required as needed. Full-time 40-hour day shift with additional call hours possible.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
  • Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
  • Other unit specific certifications including ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as required
  • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
  • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous IR and/or related procedural nursing experience preferred
