Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical care environment, guided by the SMHCS nursing professional practice model and ANA's Standards of Professional Practice. Deliver acute clinical services while maintaining current NIH Stroke, ACLS, and Basic Life Support certifications. Maintain a registered nurse license in Florida and possess a BSN degree. Complete a background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. This 14- to 16-week seasonal contract begins in November 2026 through January 2027, with workdays and shifts available in day or night rotations.
Required Qualifications
- graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program
- Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN)
- basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications
- current NIH Stroke certification
- current ACLS
- Basic Life Support certification for healthcare providers issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- FL Registered Nurse License
- undergo background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
