Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive nursing care for patients with medical diagnoses including stroke, TIA, seizure, and respiratory failure in an eighteen-bed intensive care unit. Perform initial assessments upon admission, develop and modify plans of care based on patient needs, and implement nursing interventions and procedures. Maintain accurate documentation of care and ensure all DNV measures for identified stroke/TIA patients are addressed. Communicate directly with patients, families, and the healthcare team through meaningful hourly rounding, bedside shift reports, and whiteboards to resolve issues. Requires Illinois RN licensure and ACLS certification within one year.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year - American Heart Association (AHA)
