Job Summary
Plan and coordinate patient care, assessment, education, triage, and nursing interventions for the Surgical Abdominal/ENT unit at Marshfield Clinic. Collaborate with physicians and colleagues to implement and evaluate care across the continuum, including scheduled diagnostic procedures, surgeries, and complex wound management. Empathetically support patients during preventive services, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. Maintain unencumbered RN licensure and demonstrate comprehensive nursing expertise in a 25-bed unit serving specialties such as general surgery, oncology, and palliative medicine. Work within a supportive, team-based culture offering opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.
Required Qualifications
- Registered nurse (RN)
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
