Job Summary
Direct patient care on a 33-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit with an emphasis on nursing process/outcomes. Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, formulate and implement care plans within the RN scope, provide patient and family education, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. Demonstrates critical thinking in clinical data analysis and ensures appropriate delegation of tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff while adhering to current regulations. BSN preferred within 24 months of hire; licensure in Texas or a Compact state; BLS required; CRRN preferred. Schedule is Full-Time Nights (7P-7A) at Medical City Dallas, a tertiary care center within the HCA Healthcare network.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- Must have an Associate's Degree of Professional Nursing
- BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position
- Minimum of one-year experience in acute care hospital within the last three years
- Experience in Post-Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation is preferred
- Current license in the State of Texas or Compact license is accepted
- Current BLS provider is required - AHA or ARC
- Advanced Certification in Inpatient Rehab Nursing, CRRN is preferred
