Job Summary
RN on an Inpatient Rehab unit providing direct patient care with emphasis on nursing process and outcomes. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, formulating and implementing individualized nursing care plans, teaching plans for patients and families, coordinating care with the interdisciplinary team, delegating to licensed/unlicensed staff, and evaluating patient responses to therapies. Requires nursing licensure in Texas (or Compact), ADN (BSN within 24 months), BLS, and at least one-year acute care experience; CRRN preferred and IRF-Pai experience considered an asset.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- Must have an Associate's Degree of Professional Nursing
- BSN required within 24 months of hire
- Minimum of one-year experience in acute care hospital within the last three years
- Current license in the State of Texas or Compact license is accepted
- Current BLS provider is required - AHA or ARC
Desired Qualifications
- CRRN preferred
- Experience in Post-Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation is preferred
- IRF-Pai experience preferred
- BSN within 24 months of hire is required
- Current BLS provider is required
- Current license in the State of Texas or Compact license is accepted
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- BSN required within 24 months of hire
