Job Summary
RN - Inpatient Rehab on a 33-bed unit. Provide direct patient care on the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit with emphasis on nursing process/outcomes, comprehensive assessments, nursing diagnoses, care planning, and education for patients and families. Collaborate with interdisciplinary health care team, delegate as appropriate, and develop/implement teaching plans to promote health, maintenance, and restoration. Maintain coordination of care, evaluate patient responses to interventions, and apply critical-thinking to clinical data and literature in nursing practice. License in Texas or a compact license required; BLS must be current; CRRN preferred; IRF-Pai experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- Must have an Associate's Degree of Professional Nursing
- BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position
- Minimum of one-year experience in acute care hospital within the last three years
- Experience in Post-Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation is preferred
- Experience utilizing the Patient Assessment Instrument (IRF-Pai) preferred
- Current license in the State of Texas or Compact license is accepted
- Current BLS provider is required - AHA or ARC
- Advanced Certification in Inpatient Rehab Nursing, CRRN is preferred
