Job Summary
Provide direct patient care on a 33-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, performing comprehensive nursing assessments, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and coordinating with an interdisciplinary team to achieve patient-centered outcomes. Responsibilities include delivering goal-directed nursing care, educating patients and families, delegating to licensed and unlicensed staff, and evaluating patient responses to interventions. Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing with an Associate's Degree and obtain a BSN within 24 months of hire; current Texas (or Compact) license and BLS required; CRRN preferred. The role emphasizes collaboration, clinical judgment, and adherence to regulatory requirements within an acute inpatient rehab setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- Associate's Degree of Professional Nursing
- BSN required within 24 months of hire
- Minimum of one-year experience in acute care hospital within the last three years
- Current license in the State of Texas or Compact license is accepted
- Current BLS provider is required - AHA or ARC
