RN - Inpatient Rehab

Job Summary
Provide direct patient care on a 33-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit with a focus on nursing process and outcomes. Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, educate patients and families, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary health care team. Exercise nursing leadership through assignments and delegation to staff, while ensuring compliance with applicable laws. The role requires an RN license in Texas or a Compact license, ADN/AA degree with BSN within 24 months, and a minimum of one year of acute-care experience. BLS is required; CRRN and IRF-Pai experience are preferred. Commitment to high-quality rehab outcomes and patient-centered care in an inpatient setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- Must have an Associate's Degree of Professional Nursing
- BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position
- Minimum of one-year experience in acute care hospital within the last three years
- Experience in Post-Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation is preferred
- Experience utilizing the Patient Assessment Instrument (IRF-Pai) preferred
- Current license in the State of Texas or Compact license is accepted
- Current BLS provider is required - AHA or ARC
- Advanced Certification in Inpatient Rehab Nursing, CRRN is preferred
Desired Qualifications
