Job Summary
Direct patient care on a 33-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit with emphasis on nursing process/outcomes. Provide comprehensive nursing assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, educate patients and families, and coordinate care with interdisciplinary team. Requires RN licensure in Texas (or Compact), BSN within 24 months of hire, and at least 1 year of acute care experience; CRRN and IRF-Pai experience are preferred; BLS required. Schedule: Full-Time Nights 7P-7A.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- Must have an Associate's Degree of Professional Nursing
- BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position
- Minimum of one-year experience in acute care hospital within the last three years
- Experience in Post-Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation is preferred
- Experience utilizing the Patient Assessment Instrument (IRF-Pai) preferred
- Current license in the State of Texas or Compact license is accepted
- Current BLS provider is required - AHA or ARC
- Advanced Certification in Inpatient Rehab Nursing, CRRN is preferred
