Job Summary
RN-Inpatient-PRN-PRMC provides direct nursing care using the nursing process for an assigned patient group during a shift, while supervising and delegating to home health aides and nursing staff based on patient acuity and staff capability. The role coordinates patient care with families and other disciplines, ensures patient rights, informed consent, and education, and maintains proficiency with all equipment and EPIC charting. The position includes on-call duties with triage over the phone and/or in-person visits, supervision of aides in compliance with Medicare/Medicaid, and ongoing professional development in line with hospital standards.
Required Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited nursing program (minimum ADN)
- State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License required
- BLS: RN roles
- ACLS as specified for related units
- NRP and PALS as applicable to care areas
- PHS policies and Medicare/Medicaid rules compliance
- Experience in direct patient care and clinical resource leadership
- Evidence of current nursing practice knowledge and continuing education requirements
