Job Summary
RN - Inpatient - OR position providing direct patient care using the nursing process within a hospital setting. Responsible for overseeing delivery of patient care, coordinating with nursing staff and other disciplines, and ensuring patient rights, informed consent, and teaching needs are addressed. Requires leadership in supervising home health aides and staff, ongoing professional development, and proficiency with equipment and EPIC charting. Includes on-call duties, care coordination with families and multidisciplinary teams, and adherence to standards, guidelines, and Medicare/Medicaid regulations. The role emphasizes clinical resource oversight, outcome evaluation, patient and family education, and problem-solving to maintain team cohesiveness.
Required Qualifications
- Academic Preparation: Degree from accredited academic nursing program
- Minimum ADN preparation
- Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License required
- Required Certification: AHA or ASHI or Red Cross; BLS for all RN roles; ACLS for specified units; NRP for specified neonatal/family units; PALS for specified pediatric/specialty units
