Job Summary
RN-Inpatient-Operating Room-PRN-PEH provides direct patient care in an inpatient OR setting, acts as clinical resource, directs and delegates to nursing staff and home health aides based on patient care needs, coordinates interdisciplinary care, ensures informed consent and patient education, maintains current nursing knowledge and practice standards, utilizes EPIC for charting, handles on-call duties with triage and in-person visits as needed, and supports ongoing professional development; role includes teaching patients and families, supervising aides, and complying with Medicare/Medicaid rules.
Required Qualifications
- Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License or Graduate Nurse Permit required
- Degree from accredited nursing program (ADN minimum with expectation of BSN completion within 5 years of hire)
- Academic preparation: ADN minimum with BSN completion plan
- Experience in inpatient nursing and operating room environment preferred
