Job Summary
RN in inpatient operating room setting provides direct patient care during shifts using the nursing process; serves as clinical resource and delegates assignments to nursing staff; coordinates patient care with patients, families, physicians, and community resources; ensures informed consent is understood and teaching needs are addressed; maintains knowledge of care standards, equipment, and EPIC charting; participates in problem solving and conflict resolution to maintain team cohesion; engages in on-call duties with triage over the phone and in-person visits as needed; supervises home health aides per Medicare/Medicaid rules; supports ongoing education and credentialing with tuition/certification reimbursement; promotes safety and quality care across the patient journey.
Required Qualifications
- Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License or Graduate Nurse Permit required
- Degree from accredited academic nursing program (Minimum ADN with expectation of BSN completion within 5 years of hire)
- Presbyterian Healthcare Services requires ADN with BSN in horizon
