Job Summary
RN in Inpatient Operating Room (PRN/PEH) providing direct patient care in the OR setting. Utilizes the nursing process to deliver safe, patient-centered care, oversees delivery of care and delegates tasks to nursing staff, coordinates multidisciplinary collaboration, ensures patients’ rights, informed consent, and teaching needs, maintains proficiency with equipment, participates in problem solving and conflict resolution to maintain team cohesion, and participates in on-call duties with triage and patient visits as needed. Includes opportunities for educational development, tuition/certification reimbursement, and loan forgiveness; Epic electronic charting system utilized.
Required Qualifications
- Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License or Graduate Nurse Permit required
- Degree from accredited academic nursing program (If a program is under conditional status, approval may be granted by system CNO)
- Minimum ADN preparation with expectation of BSN completion within 5 years of hire
