Job Summary
RN-Inpatient-Operating Room-PRN-PEH provides direct patient care in the inpatient operating room, acts as clinical resource guiding nursing staff and home health aides, coordinates patient care with the multidisciplinary team, ensures patient understanding of rights and informed consent, directs patient and family teaching, maintains current knowledge of nursing standards and hospital policies, proficient in equipment, communicates effectively with the care team, performs on-call duties with triage capabilities, directs educational needs for common diagnoses, and supervises home health aides in compliance with Medicare/Medicaid rules.
Required Qualifications
- Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License or Graduate Nurse Permit required
- Academic Preparation: Degree from accredited nursing program (Minimum ADN preparation with expectation of BSN completion within 5 years of hire)
