Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients on the Inpatient Medical Floor. Maintain professional accountability for care delivery, evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers, and coordinate patient care with other departments. Uphold patient rights and confidentiality while performing duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Requires a current Missouri RN license, BLS certification, and an Associate, Diploma, or BSN in Nursing. Full-time day shift (7:00AM-7:00PM) with a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 for experienced nurses.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: Associate Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
Desired Qualifications
- BSN
- Additional state licensure or specialty certifications
- Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting
