Job Summary
Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care and treatment for patients in the assigned clinical area. Coordinate operations including patient scheduling, record maintenance, and admissions; counsel patients and families on conditions, treatments, and medication schedules. Act as a liaison with case managers and utilization review while coordinating referrals and ensuring patient safety. Maintain accurate records, function as a preceptor per guidelines, and serve on nursing councils or committees to improve care. Provide exceptional customer service and report concerns to supervisors. Duties may require call subject to department discretion and occasional work beyond regular hours.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license
- Knowledge of clinical nursing care procedures and protocols
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Knowledge and understanding of computer systems, tools and programs
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Knowledge of Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Supply Chain, Customers, Suppliers
