Job Summary
RN-Inpatient-Family Birth Center role providing direct patient care in a 12-hour day shift, PRN opportunity. Responsibilities include overseeing delivery of patient care, directing and delegating assignments to nursing staff and home health aides, coordinating care with patients, families, physicians and community resources, ensuring patient rights and informed consent, directing patient and family teaching, maintaining current knowledge of nursing standards and hospital policies, proficient equipment use, effective communication within the nursing team, and on-call triage and visits as needed. Requires ADN minimum with NM or Compact-state RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications, and EPIC experience; supports professional development and includes tuition/certification reimbursement and loan forgiveness options.
Required Qualifications
- Degree from accredited academic nursing program (ADN minimum)
- State of New Mexico nursing license or Compact State license
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification (as specified: ED, Critical Care, Cardiovascular Lab, GI Lab, Interventional Radiology, Progressive Care, Surgical Services Pre-Op and Recovery Room)
- NRP: Family Birthing Center, Labor and Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care, Mother/Baby Care
- PALS: Children Services, Cardiovascular Lab, ED, GI Lab, IR, Surgical Services Pre-Op and Recovery Room
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic charting system
- Western New Mexico/Presbyterian employment policies
- On-call duties and triage ability
- Education and professional development support
