Job Summary
Provides nursing care in an inpatient telemetry setting at Cherokee Indian Hospital. The RN assesses patients, develops and evaluates individualized plans of care, administers medications and therapeutic measures, teaches and counsels patients and families, and participates in nursing policy development, quality assurance, and cross-training. Responsibilities include coordinating care during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, functioning as charge nurse when assigned, initiating and adjusting care plans, documenting patient data and education, and ensuring safety and adherence to standards. Requires RN licensure, a Bachelor or Associate degree in nursing, BLS (required on hire), and ACLS/PALS within six months (facility-provided). CPI training is required within six months, with ongoing professional development and adherence to hospital policies and OSHA regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited Bachelor or Associate Degree nursing program
- Unrestricted valid Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a state with reciprocity
- Basic Life Support (BLS) minimally required upon hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of start date
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Training within 6 months of start date
