Job Summary
Plan and coordinate patient care, assessment, education, triage, and nursing interventions for critically injured or seriously ill pediatric patients from newborns through adolescents. Collaborate with colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care across the continuum of preventive services, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. Demonstrate competency and apply comprehensive nursing expertise in a Level I, eight-bed PICU environment. Maintain unencumbered RN licensure and required department-specific certifications. Full-time position with 36 weekly hours; sign-on bonus available for qualified applicants.
Required Qualifications
- Registered nurse (RN)
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
