RN Inpatient- Children's of Mississippi- Cardiac Step-Down/ Post-op Unit- 5C- Full Time/ PRN

Assess, develop, implement and evaluate nursing care and treatment for patients in the Cardiac Step-Down/Post-op Unit 5C. Coordinate operations of the clinical area including patient scheduling, maintaining patient records, and managing patient admissions. Counsel patients and families on treatment and conditions; act as liaison between case managers, home health nurses, utilization review, and other services; coordinate patient services and care. Functions as a preceptor per UMMC guidelines and participates in councils/committees to improve patient care. Requires valid RN license; role may involve call subject to department discretion. May require hours beyond regular schedule. Demonstrates commitment to safety, documentation, and high-quality patient care.
