Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) – Inpatient on Cardiac/Vascular/Thoracic unit. Responsible for applying the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, evaluation) to provide individualized patient care, collaborating with physicians and inter-professional colleagues, coordinating care, triage, and patient education. Practices within the Nurse Practice Act and state regulations; demonstrates competency across age and population-specific standards; supports and participates in a team-based, patient-centered care environment. Requires RN licensure (state or compact) and a nursing program graduation; Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred. Schedule: 24 hours per week; union: No.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program required
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing or multi-state licensure if NLC state
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred
- Obtains and maintains required department competencies and certifications
- Nurse Practice Act and applicable state rules
