Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides individualized nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation) to patients in an inpatient cardiac/vascular/thoracic setting. It collaborates with physicians and inter-professional colleagues to plan, implement and evaluate care across all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. Responsibilities include patient assessment, education, triage, care coordination, and nursing interventions within the Nurse Practice Act and state licensure; requires a graduate nursing degree with an unencumbered RN license and ongoing competency development. Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program required
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice occurs and/or multistate licensure if in an NLC state
- Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications
