Job Summary
Registered Nurse on the inpatient Acute Care General Surgery unit providing post-operative care to high-acuity surgical patients (esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder) with responsibilities including management of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, enteral nutrition, complex wound care with wound VACs, and pain management (epidural, PCA). Collaborates with general, minimally invasive, emergency, and surgical oncology services; participates in quality improvement, professional development, and research initiatives; supports mentorship and certification pursuits; located at UW Health University Hospital in Madison, WI.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or a license from a compact jurisdiction
- Current CPR/BLS Certification
