Job Summary
Inpatient RN on the 8AB Med/Surg Innovation Unit with a fast-paced, technology-forward team; collaborates with physicians and inter-professional staff to provide individualized nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) across preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. Responsible for patient assessment, education, triage, care coordination, and various nursing interventions within the scope of practice and state regulations. Works on a 12-hour shift pattern with rotating days/evenings/nights; supports a 1:4-6 nurse-to-patient ratio and participates in innovative projects such as virtual nursing and electronic whiteboards. Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, RN license (state or multi-state via NLC), ongoing competencies/certifications, and a Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred. The role supports Sanford Health’s mission across multiple Midwest locations and emphasizes high-quality, advanced nursing practice in a Level 1 trauma center setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
- Current unencumbered RN license in state of practice or multistate licensure (NLC)
- Maintains required department competencies and certifications
