Job Summary
Manage a dedicated patient caseload providing comprehensive support for patients receiving oral chemotherapy and oncology medications at home. Deliver patient education, ensure consistent monitoring, and proactively manage treatment-related side effects to promote safe and effective care outside the clinical setting. Collaborate with physicians and nurse practitioners to plan, implement, and evaluate care while performing age-related assessments and interventions per provider orders. Occasionally address emergent patient care situations requiring critical thinking and prompt assessment skills.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtain and subsequently maintain required department specific licensure, competencies and certifications
- An accepted offer will require a drug screen
- An accepted offer will require pre-employment background screening
