Job Summary
Develop and implement infection prevention and control programs while serving as a consultant and educator to all staff. Oversee antimicrobial stewardship, employee health, and influenza initiatives, then perform rounds to identify hazards, monitor practices, and evaluate compliance with standard precautions. Review and update policies, track surveillance trends, and deliver staff education to ensure regulatory adherence. Maintain required records and reporting for state and federal standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid state nursing license
- Degree in nursing, epidemiology, biology, microbiology
- Infection Control and Prevention Certification
- Experience in a Long-Term Care or similar healthcare setting
