Job Summary
Coordinate patient care and physician access by assisting staff, prioritizing orders, and ensuring proper patient identification and visit preparation. Collect and label lab specimens, obtain vital signs, and administer injections while documenting all activities accurately in the EHR and PMS. Schedule appointments, manage medication lists, and handle telephone triage according to departmental guidelines and safety protocols. Maintain emergency equipment logs, facilitate care transitions, and troubleshoot departmental equipment. Work Tuesdays 8:00am - 4:30pm as part of a physician-led network delivering connected care across traditional, home, and virtual settings.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree
- New Jersey State Nursing License
- BLS certification
- 0 – 1 years experience
- Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing
- Ability to perform diverse work assignments with time limitations with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to use problem solving, critical thinking and priority setting skills
- Physical strength to lift heavy objects, carts, or items
- Physical mobility
- Physical agility
- Dexterity of hands and fingers
- Balance
- Endurance (e.g. continuous typing, prolonged standing/bending, walking)
- Ability to commute to satellite offices as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 2-4 years experience
- Experience with Standard Office Equipment (Phone, Fax, Copy Machine, Scanner, Email/Voice Mail)
- Experience with Standard Office Technology in a Window based environment
- Experience with patient care equipment
- Experience with EHR, Practice Management System and Departmental/Ancillary Systems
