Job Summary
RN III – VHS FLOAT drives safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies and philosophy, provides professional leadership to the healthcare team, and oversees staff under their supervision. Implements Patient Centered Care as the foundation of nursing care, demonstrates Service Excellence, and may float to multiple VHS facilities as required by the department. Requires current RN license (Nevada) with BLS, ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable, crisis management training, and completion of a specialty course or equivalent within 6 months of hire; BSN preferred. Must have 2+ years acute care experience or an approved specialty, and be willing to float to a minimum of three VHS facilities. Compliance with pre-employment assessments and equal opportunity employment statements are noted.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in the State of Nevada
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification (adult patients) or current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department
- Crisis Management Course
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and completion of a Specialty course/or equivalent within 6 months of hire
- BSN preferred
- Two-years acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course within 6 months of hire
- Must sign agreement to float to a minimum of three VHS facilities
