Job Summary
Delivers nursing care by developing nursing diagnoses, establishing care objectives, and defining interventions for patients, families, and friends. Reviews physician prescriptions, communicates care plans to the healthcare team, and coordinates with providers while providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support. Develops nursing care plans through patient examinations, medical history reviews, and family conferences to establish goals and schedules. Evaluates patient care by measuring health outcomes against standards, reviewing records, and modifying care plans as conditions change. Maintains a safe environment by adhering to infection-control protocols, medication regulations, and legal standards while documenting services and maintaining equipment. Works 12-hour day or night shifts on a float schedule across Med Surg, ED, or Case Management units.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Active license in the state of practice
- Ability to work the hours specified
- Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years Experience working in a clinical environment
