Job Summary
RN III (Cardiovascular) Floater - Full-time role providing safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies and standards. Leads and supports the healthcare team, emphasizes patient-centered care, and may float to multiple VHS facilities as required. Requires current RN licensure and relevant certifications (BLS, ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable), specialty training within 6 months of hire, and a BSN preferred. The role emphasizes nursing leadership, adherence to service excellence, and compliance with hospital policies in a large health system with multiple facilities. Location-based duties center on Winchester, VA, with hospital-wide responsibilities across VHS facilities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and completion of a Specialty course/or equivalent within 6 months of hire. BSN preferred.
- Two-years acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course within 6 months of hire.
- Current RN license in the State of Nevada.
- Current BLS Certification required.
- Current ACLS Certification (adult patients), Current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department.
- Approved Crisis Management Course required.
