Job Summary
RN II provides professional nursing care in an inpatient hospital setting using the nursing process, applying independent nursing judgment, and demonstrating competent clinical knowledge to meet patient needs. Responsibilities include prioritizing diagnoses and care, serving as a resource for patient and family learning, coordinating with the interprofessional team, functioning as an independent team member, mentoring colleagues, participating in care planning and system improvements, leading interprofessional teams, designing innovations to improve outcomes, and supporting education and development of staff. The role also encompasses adherence to policies promoting patient health and safety, advocacy for patient rights, and engagement in CAPE progression levels with demonstrated leadership, precepting, and qualification requirements. Required certifications and competencies include maintaining an RN license, BLS, and ongoing professional development; supervision and shared governance participation are described within CAPE level requirements. Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state where services will be provided or multistate license via eNLC
- Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire
- Two (2) years of registered nursing experience
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
